In the next 13 Sundays, the children will hear about Isaiah's prophecy about the birth of Jesus as well as many significant stories that surround his birth. Some stories are familiar to some and some will become more familiar as they grow, but it is our job as a church to make sure that children of all ages truley understand the reason for the celebration of Christmas.
In addition the children will hear stories that Jesus told, these stories are some of the most important ones in the Bible. We will be teaching them the Lord's prayer and and I would encourage you to say the prayer with them at home.
In this very busy and commercialized season, I challenge you to slow down....make an EXTRA effort to attend Sunday School and church events this Holiday season. It is during this time that many values and morals will be established as well as developing a close personal connection to your children and to our church. Blessings.
