Bible Presentation Sunday

Congratulations to all those who received a Bible on Sunday! Try to make a commitment to read at least one Chapter a week. (A Hint.....The books that are easy to pronounce are always good, easy books to begin with!) Also we are studying the book of Samuel in Sunday School and Children's Church. That may be a good place to begin too. Let the word of God truly be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path!

Holy Week is Coming Soon!

As we enter into Holy Week soon, I am reminded of the Ups and Downs and all of the different emotions everyone went through. It started off with a Joyful Celebration on Palm Sunday, God's people excited to the point of Waving Palms and Shouting "Hosanna"! For they knew a King was coming to bring them peace. They had hope and faith and trust. Where does the hope and faith and trust of our children come from? The family? The church? Sunday School? Youth? Then you walk through Jesus washing feet...to teach us to serve others. Where do our children learn how to serve? At home? In school? In church? The Last Supper comes about as a reminder and prediction that He will suffer for us. Be broken for us. He loves us. Do our children fully understand and comprehend His Love? And then the Death of Christ, Buriel, and Ressurection of Christ...You talk about a roller coaster ride! Happy, Sad, Afraid, Happy, Suprised, Mad, Sad, the Happy again!!!! This story is so applicable to our daily lives... as parents, as Christians, as wives and husbands. Life is one of the biggest Roller Coaster rides you will go on. Blanket your families and your children in Church, attend every Holy Week event, Sunday School hour, youth event, Maundy Service, Egg Hunt you can. We know and our children will know then, even though life is a roller coaster, God is the one stable thing in our lives. He is with us. He will bring us peace.
